PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that the Punjab caretaker government was dancing to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) tune, insisting that both the Punjab setup and the PTI are one and the same.
“The caretaker setup in Punjab is dancing to the tune of PTI, and it was on PTI’s orders that a crackdown was launched against our workers and leaders prior to Nawaz Sharif’s arrival,” Shehbaz said while speaking to media in Peshawar.
He added that the caretaker setup was supporting PTI, while the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has turned a blind eye to it. On the other hand, he added, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was exerting all its energy on the Nawaz league.

Continuing his address, Shehbaz lauded PML-N workers for their ‘exemplary’ behaviour upon arrival of PML-N lifetime supremo Nawaz Sharif and daughter Maryam Nawaz.
“I want to thank all PML-N workers for organising peaceful rallies across the city upon Nawaz Sharif’s arrival. Despite this, several PML-N workers were arrested on orders of PTI,” Shehbaz said.
He said that the PML-N has continued its election campaign despite all odds and that if elections were fair and free, there was no doubt that Nawaz league’s would triumph.
